Bayesian Statistics
inverting the cause and effect
Bayesian methods have emerged as a dark horse of statistics, quickly coming and toppling the established methods of analysis over the last 50 years. In this map we explore how these methods are related to other ideas in statistics. We see that maxim likelihood and maximum aposteriori form close cousins of bayesian methods. Different distributions involved are also used in bayesian analysis and applications to regression are very common instance of their use.
Explore the graph by clicking on any of the nodes and traversing to other nodes by clicking them. Also remove extraneous connections by clicking on different color nodes in the legend. Going from left to right will eliminate nodes that are least extensively connected to most extensively connected.
